Worksite weekend
on Saturday June 7 and Monday June 9

Around 30 people “from 16 to 77”, family, friends and members of the association came to lend a hand to the abbey’s owners Louis-Marie, Béatrice and their children to give a new color to the wooden doors framing the magnificent courtyard of the farm, located behind the abbey. Béatrice’s homemade ochre paint, made from natural pigments extracted from quarries in Puisaye, was used and applied to the untreated wood.
Two other projects involved backfilling the path alongside the abbey, followed by weeding and pruning the lime trees in the main avenue.
In figures: 30 kgs of paint, 20 doors and porches repainted, hundreds of ruts filled and tons of good humor and friendship.
